About the programme
Islamic scholarship, made accessible
Sanatayn gives brothers a proper, ordered path through the Islamic sciences — combining traditional study, practical guidance and regular assessment over two years.
The hybrid classroom is designed so neither audience misses out. The same teaching screen and digital writing are shown on the SAMA Centre projector and shared live on Zoom, alongside the teacher camera.
Shaykh Yaquob Ahmed teaches every Year 1 subject. He is an ʿĀlimiyyah graduate of Jamiatul Ilm wal Huda, holds an MA in Islamic Studies from SOAS University of London and a BA in Hadith Studies from the Islamic University of Madinah.

One connected classroom
The teacher’s digital writing and shared materials appear on the venue projector and in Zoom at the same time. The teacher camera is also shared, so online students can follow the complete lesson.
Students aged 16–17 require guardian enrolment. Recordings, quizzes, tests and course materials are delivered through the Ocean of Islam Student Portal.

Frequently asked
Who can join?
The course is for brothers aged 16 and above. A parent or guardian must complete the enrolment for a student aged 16 or 17.
Do I have to attend on site?
No. You may choose the hybrid route — Monday on site and Wednesday online — or attend both sessions live online. Both options have the same fee and academic requirements.
Where is the Monday class?
The on-site class is at SAMA Centre, 544 Roman Road, Bow, London E3 5ES. The Wednesday class is delivered live online through Zoom.
What if I miss a session?
Recordings are provided automatically through the student platform. Regular live attendance is still expected, and attendance, quizzes and assessments form part of the programme.
How does the rotating timetable work?
Week A places Qurʾān, Tajwīd, Tafsīr and Hadith on Monday, with Arabic and Fiqh online on Wednesday. In Week B those primary subject blocks switch days, and Seerah replaces Hadith. The detailed timetable may be refined before teaching begins.
When will payment be taken?
The first week is free. Monthly and annual registrations securely authorise payment during enrolment, with the first charge scheduled for 9:00am on 12 October 2026. Registrations after that time are charged when completed.
Is this a complete qualification?
Yes. Sanatayn is a two-year structured programme. Students who meet the attendance and assessment requirements receive a full two-year certificate, with annual achievement and attendance awards.
