Sisters · 16+ · Live Online · Mon–Thu Evenings
A structured, sisters-only Tajweed programme for sisters aged 16 and above — learning correct Qurʾānic recitation from the foundations, improving your Salah, and growing closer to the words of Allah ﷻ through Tarbiyah-infused lessons. New cohort beginning September 2026, in shāʾ Allāh.
The Tajweed for Sisters programme is a structured online course for Muslim sisters aged 16 and above who want to recite the Qurʾān correctly, beautifully, and with full confidence in their Salah.
From the correct pronunciation of letters (Makharij) to the rules of prolongation (Madd), stopping (Waqf), and the rules of Noon and Meem — every essential rule of Tajweed is covered at a pace that suits all levels, from complete beginners to those refining an existing foundation.
Every lesson is infused with tarbiyah — because the goal is not only correct recitation, but a deeper, more sincere relationship with the Book of Allah ﷻ. Classes run four evenings a week, live on Zoom, in a fully sisters-only environment.
A comprehensive curriculum covering every essential aspect of Tajweed — from the articulation of individual letters to the rules governing full recitation — integrated with spiritual development throughout.
Points of Articulation
Learn the precise origin of each Arabic letter — from the throat, tongue, lips and nasal passage. Correct articulation is the foundation of beautiful, valid recitation.
Characteristics of Letters
Understand the essential qualities of each letter — heaviness, lightness, strength, echoing (qalqalah), nasalisation (ghunnah) — so your recitation carries the full weight of each letter.
Izḥār · Ikhfāʾ · Idghām · Iqlab
Master the four rules of noon sākinah and tanwīn, and the two rules of meem sākinah. Among the most frequent rules in the Qurʾān — essential for every Salah.
Rules of Prolongation
Study the natural madd and the extended madds — giving each letter and word its due length. Incorrect prolongation is one of the most common errors that can affect the validity of recitation.
Stopping & Starting
Learn when and how to pause correctly, and how to resume — vital for preserving meaning and for proper recitation in Salah, Tarawih, and everyday tilāwah.
Spiritual Development
Every lesson is infused with tarbiyah — nurturing love of the Qurʾān, sincerity of intention, and the spiritual qualities befitting one who carries the words of Allah ﷻ. Knowledge without tarbiyah is incomplete.
A structured programme built for sisters at every level, by a qualified female teacher, in a safe and nurturing environment.
Whether you are just starting out or can already read but want to refine your Tajweed — this course meets you where you are and takes you further.
The ultimate goal is beautiful, correct recitation in your daily prayers. Learn the rules that make your recitation valid, precise, and elevated.
Monday to Thursday, 5–7 pm — structured, consistent learning across four evenings that builds lasting progress and discipline.
