Discover the Core Beliefs that Shape the Heart of Islam

The Six Articles of Faith are the fundamental beliefs of Islam, which are considered to be the cornerstone of the religion. These articles outline the basic beliefs that every Muslim should have in their hearts and minds, and they help to shape the way that Muslims think, feel, and act in their daily lives.

The first article of faith is the belief in the existence and oneness of God (Allah). This is the foundation of all Islamic beliefs and is considered to be the most important of all. Muslims believe that God is the only deity and that He is the source of all knowledge, wisdom, and power.

The second article of faith is the belief in the existence of angels. Angels play a significant role in the Islamic religion, and Muslims believe that they are messengers from God, sent to guide and help us on our journey through life.

The third article of faith is the belief in the existence of the divine books of which Allah is the speaker. These books include the Quran (revealed to Muhammad), the ‘Gospel’ (Injil – revealed to Jesus), the Torah (revealed to Moses), and the ‘Psalms’ (Zabur – revealed to David). Muslims believe that these books contain the word of God and provide guidance for humanity.

The fourth article of faith is the belief in the existence of all Prophets. Muslims believe that God has sent many prophets to guide humanity, and they hold these prophets in high esteem. Muhammad is considered to be the last of the prophets, and Jesus the penultimate, with others such as Moses, Abraham, David, Joseph, and Jacob being sent before them.

The fifth article of faith is the belief in the existence of the Day of Judgment. Muslims believe that one day, all of humanity will be divided into two groups: those who will go to paradise and those who will go to hell. These groups are themselves divided into subgroups, based on the actions and beliefs of each individual.

The final article of faith is the belief in the existence of God’s predestination, whether it involves good or bad. Muslims believe that everything that happens is by the will of God and that everything has been predetermined. This belief provides Muslims with a sense of comfort and peace, knowing that everything is in the hands of the Almighty.

In conclusion, the Six Articles of Faith are central to the Islamic religion and provide a foundation for the beliefs and actions of all Muslims. By embracing these beliefs, Muslims are able to live their lives with a sense of purpose and direction, guided by the teachings of Islam and the word of God.
