About Maktabah Shamelah
- Our library comprises over 5,300 books on various Islamic sciences, all in Arabic and organized into distinct categories. Many of the books and authors have identity cards for easy reference.
- Our advanced search functionality allows you to search across single or multiple books, and choose to include or ignore the various forms of the letter Hamza. You can search for book titles, within the books, in the comments section, authors, or multiple words using either “and” or “or” criteria.
- The software allows you to edit the books, bookmark your favourite locations, open multiple books at once, choose to remove or keep Tashkeel (diacritic marks) from texts (when available), and associate books of Sharh (commentaries) with their respective Matn (texts – when available).
- The application provides customization options including the ability to change the background image, font and colour of various levels of text and background such as main text, comments, titles, footnotes, etc.
- The books can be exported to HTML files, .doc files (requires Microsoft Word on the device), or .bok files (requires the empty version of the library) with various export options.
- The library can be updated and new books can be downloaded directly from within the software.
